SICT students awards Special prize from IX International Olympiad “Procon-2017”

Under the supervision of Dr. A. Khuder, lecturer of Department of Computer Science, software engineering students; D. Erdenebayar and G. Enkh-Amar have successfully participated into the section of Artificial intelligence and awarded Special prize from the IX International Olympiad “Procon-2017” which held on 06th to 11th October 2017 in Shyunan city, Yamagata prefecture, Japan.

 

This annual Olympiad organizes among the South-Eastern Asian countries kosen and higher education institutions, and this year Shinagawa kosen took 1st place and university from Osaka prefecture took 2nd place, and SICT took Special prize.

Kanagawa kosen was winner in invention category.

Each year, the Olympiad separates into 3 categories such as creation for particular theme, free creation and artificial intelligence and the SICT was the only winner (foreign team) in 2016.

The Olympiad includes Japanese kosen and 59 teams from Mongolia, Malaysia, Philippine, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam and others. The Olympiad task announces end of March and final contest held in October.

Besides the Olympiad activities, academic networking and cultural events held among the participants during whole events.
