Program Purpose

 Mission of Structural Engineering program is to prepare a competitive and innovative civil engineer with a bachelor's degree, who attained:

  • Well-founded theoretical knowledge
  • High level of professional ability, and ability of individual and team work
  • Knowledge and skills of organizing civil engineering works, and conducting research.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

 Program educational objectives are:

  • To prepare engineers with the knowledge to recognize, analyze, assess and solve problems using their engineering knowledge;
  • To prepare individuals who are capable of learning in an advanced level and lifelong learning and learning new advanced technologies;
  • To prepare a leader with the ability to communicate effectively, to work in a multidisciplinary professional team, to organize and to be versatile;
  • To prepare engineers, who conduct their professional activities in a highly ethical and social responsibilities by recognizing the social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Program learning outcomes (PLOs)

 Structural engineering program graduates will attained following outcomes:

  1. Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences;
  2. Ability to apply certain methodology for solving any construction engineering problems by using attained fundamental engineering knowledge;
  3. To acquire advanced knowledge, methods and tools of civil engineering;
  4. Ability to predict, model, and analyze engineering problems in designing and implementing any engineering tacks;
  5. Ability to conduct experiments, to analyze and to process data;
  6. Ability to develop systematic thinking and to learn in an advanced level and lifelong learning;
  7. Ability to act with professional ethics;
  8. Ability to use of modern and advanced construction engineering technologies;
  9. Ability to communicate effectively with team members with diverse backgrounds and cultures;
  10. Ability to consider the social, economic, human health and safety, and environmental impact when conducting any construction work;
  11. Ability to manage and organize construction projects.
