COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Deepening the knowledge of chemistry acquired in high school, students will develop theoretical and practical knowledge of the theoretical foundations of quantum mechanics, basic concepts and laws of thermodynamics, properties of dispersed systems, solutions, electrochemical processes, and elemental chemistry.

  1. Understand the general concepts and main laws of chemistry /remembering/.
  2. Acquire theoretical knowledge about chemical transformations, the structure of atoms, molecules, compounds, chemical bonds, properties of solutions, electrochemistry, and elemental chemistry /understanding/.
  3. Learn to perform chemical calculations based on knowledge of chemical theory /applying/.
  4. Learn to use chemicals, reagent solutions, glassware, and equipment /applying/
