First time in Mongolia the MUST (Mongolian University of Science and Technology) called all members and interested people of IEEE to meet together. "Introduction to IEEE Organization" seminar was one of the event which targeted to establish IEEE Mongolia Section in Mongolia based on MUST. More than 89 participants from different universities and institutions of Mongolia took part in this seminar.

The seminar was opened by President of MUST Prof. B.Ochirbat and he noted in his opening speech "IEEE is the biggest professional organization for engineers, researchers and scientist in engineering and it was established in 1884 in USA. Dr.Gowen, who was the Centennial President of IEEE and IEEE Foundation President, received Honorary Doctor from our university in 2012. He wants to support IEEE membership in Mongolia and created Fund for this target. This is time to try to establish IEEE Mongolia section here and now. It will be very helpful to assist our researchers and engineers to publish own result in international visible journals".

During seminar Officer of Office of Research Affairs, Mr.B.Dorjderem introduced IEEE and running process of preparation for IEEE Mongolia section. Director of Faculty development center, Prof.T.Uranchimeg presented Benefits and opportunity if IEEE Membership. 

At the end of a seminar we had active discussion about new membership process and agreed to create official commission to support initiative of MUST to establish IEEE Mongolia section at MUST.
