1st advanced level SDS-ONE, APEX-3-3 software training of Shima Seiki LTD successfully organized at “Shima Seiki training center”. Pre-training took place 3 times by manufacturer’s request and advanced level training covered faculty members from cashmere and woven industrial technology and designing departments. The training jointly organized with UNITERRA program which sponsored by Canadian Government funding through Embassy of Canada in Ulaanbaatar. The project implemented by World University Service Center of Canada and Center for International Studies and Cooperation. The program will be implemented in 2015-2020 in the field of Mongolian Wool and cashmere and construction sectors. MUST and Unittera signed on cooperation agreement in September 2016.

APEX-3-3 system training consists of several modules and in order to be trained, staff used to go to Japan for professional development. Now staff have opportunity to train in mother tongue and in home country. Shima Seiki training center at MUST is equipped with same facilities and qualities of graduates are same. All participants in 1st training successfully finished. Participants took note that all manual books translated into Mongolian and distributed during the training was crucial to most participants to fully understand the training. In the future, we are planning to have more trainings to contribute the development of wool and cashmere sector. The Government takes into consideration to develop the sector and financed facilities and laboratories. Thus, we need to capacity building for such facilities to operate. Moreover, 1 staff who fully operates APEX software could replace 2-3 people.
