COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This is a course in the calculus of functions of more than one independent variable. Topics include the limits, continuity, partial derivatives and their applications, including optimization, multiple integrals, including line and surface integrals, and the big three theorems of Green, Stokes, and Gauss and series of functions. Applications to the technological and engineering will be a focus of this course

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  1. Students will be made familiar with differential and integral calculus of more variables, including line and surface integrals and series of functions.
  2. They will be able to apply this knowledge in various engineering tasks.
  3. After completing the course students will be prepared for further study of physics, mechanics and other technical disciplines.
  4. Develop skills necessary for working independently and in a team.
