MUST awards “Medal of Red Banner of Labor Merit”

MUST celebrated its 55th Anniversary of first preparatory of engineering and technology professionals on 9th to 10th November, 2016.

The ceremony took place at Corporate Convention center’s concert hall on 10th November and 1200 participants of its alumni, faculty members and guests. During the ceremony, MUST awarded “Medal of Red Banner of Labor Merit” upon resolution of the President of Mongolia and Mr. Ts. Bayarsaikhan, Director of President’s Office, hands a medal to MUST’s official flag and hand-in the certificate to Prof. B. Ochirbat, President of MUST.

 

MUST has been improving its development phases from Polytechnics to Technical University and into Mongolian University of Science and Technology and reforming the organizational structure and reforming education each time when it’s necessary. Thus, it’s aiming to be a world class and research oriented university. In this regard, MUST has been contributed to the nation’s development with its 70 thousand alumni in 140 majors in last 55 years.

Recent years, MUST has achieved to implement lot of new modes and deliveries such as credit based system and  university management system first time and this was good contribution and experience to other higher education institutions in Mongolia.

In this occasion, the Government of Mongolia highly speculated its contribution and bestowed the “Medal of red Banner of Labor Merit” and it’s delivered by Mr. Ts. Bayarsaikhan, Director of President’s Office of Mongolia. 

 

During the ceremony, another great event took place which was to bestowed the title of “Honorary Doctor” to Dr. Prof. G. Bazar, the first alumni of MUST, first lecturer and merit lecturer for his significant contribution to educate young generations and supporting colleagues and young researchers of MUST.

Ceremony followed up the students’ concert for the anniversary celebration.
